I rise to make a few brief comments about this money resolution. I thank all those who work with the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, whose expertise, experience, networks, contacts and global stature are recognised and valued both in the UK and across the Commonwealth. The CPA's secretariat hosted here plays a critical role, especially under Secretary-General Stephen Twigg. Additionally, I commend the International Committee of the Red Cross for its tireless work supporting civilians in conflict zones around the world. On today’s money resolution, the Opposition supports these moves as they bring us in line with other countries and allow these organisations to do their essential work.
