Government Statement
The Minister of State, Ministry of Defence Luke Pollard announced that the UK will provide a £225 million package of military support to Ukraine in 2025. This includes £186 million for key military equipment such as advanced reconnaissance drones and air defence systems; £39 million for counter-drone electronic warfare systems; and £3.5 billion of export finance available for the UK’s defence industry to reinforce Ukraine's defence capabilities. Additionally, the UK will continue training Ukrainian troops and working with allies to impose further costs on Russia through sanctions and diplomatic pressure.
