The debate focused on several issues including making Stanmore station step-free, concerns over police station closures due to increased crime in London, opposition to the Broadwalk redevelopment proposal in Barnet, support for Israel's right to defend itself against security threats from Hamas, highlighting Iranian influence in the UK and urging proscription of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), calling for urgency in passing the Tobacco and Vapes Bill to address growing youth exposure to heated tobacco products and nicotine pouches, and advocating for space allocation for breakfast clubs in primary schools.

Shadow Response
It is a great pleasure to close the Sir David Amess Adjournment debate on behalf of His Majesty’s loyal Opposition. The opposition would like to see a full public inquiry into the Prevent programme, bringing together cases to understand what went wrong and how the system can be improved. I have seen that my hon. Friend the Member for Harrow East (Bob Blackman) is doing a brilliant job of opening the debate.
