I would like to correct the record in relation to something I said during the last Defence orals. On 2 February 2026, I stated that the Prime Minister did not work with any of Phil Shiner’s organisations and that his role was limited to working with the Law Society on points of law. However, it has been brought to my attention since then that in 2006 the Prime Minister was instructed to represent an individual by the law firm for which Mr Shiner was the principal solicitor. I would like to take this earliest opportunity to apologise to the House and correct the record.

During Health questions this morning, the Minister stated that for the first time ever there will be a children’s cancer strategy as part of the cancer strategy. However, the Government had previously scrapped the existing children’s cancer strategy we had put in place. Should the Minister not come and correct the record for having misled the House?
